- You must be at least 21 years old
- No criminal background (No arrests, No misdemeanors, No felonies)
- No civil lawsuits as a respondent
- No fraud or perjury accusations
- No illegal drug use history
- No mental health problems
- Completed High School or have a GED
- At least 2 years of college (in criminal justice, infrastructure protection, or related fields)
- or a Bachelors degree (any field)
- Be able to pass a comprehensive background check
- Be licensable in Texas as a private investigator by the Texas DPS
- Be certified in first aid (BLS) or become certified within the first 45 days
You must have worked with or for at least one of the following;
- Federal law enforcement agency
- State law enforcement agency
- County Sheriff’s Department
- District Attorney / Prosecutor’s office as a criminal investigator
- Insurance Claims Adjuster or SUI Investigator or TPA
- Risk Management Agency
